Un affascinante itinerario di 15 giorni che attraversa il meglio dell’India del Nord: dalla vivace Delhi alle città storiche del Rajasthan – Mandawa, Bikaner, Jaisalmer, Jodhpur, Udaipur e Jaipur – tra palazzi dei Maharaja e fortezze nel deserto. Si prosegue verso Agra e il magnifico Taj Mahal, quindi Khajuraho con i suoi templi intagliati, fino a Varanasi, cuore spirituale dell’India sulle rive sacre del Gange, prima del rientro a Delhi.
Giorno 1: arrivo a DELHI
Accoglienza in aeroporto e trasferimento in hotel. Sistemazione in camera e, più tardi, tour della capitale dell’India moderna, cuore del paese, metropoli verde e gradevole, ricca di testimonianze del passato, interessante commistione di antichi monumenti e affollati bazar, palazzi medioevali e modernissimi edifici. Visita di uno dei luoghi simbolo della Vecchia Delhi, il Raj Ghat, il memoriale del Mahatma Gandhi eretto nel luogo dove venne cremato, proseguendo poi per la moschea Jama Masjid, la più solenne d’India. Nella nuova Delhi visita dell’alta ed elegante torre Qutb Minar. Il primo giorno si conclude con la passeggiata in macchina lungo il massiccio Forte Rosso, l’India Gate e il Palazzo del Parlamento, prima del rientro in
hotel.
Giorno 2: DELHI / MANDAWA (265 km, 6 ore circa)
Prima colazione. Spostamento a Mandawa, nello Shekhawati, il “museo all'aria aperta” del Rajasthan. Sistemazione in hotel e, nel pomeriggio, breve visita di Mandawa, con le sue stupefacenti haveli, le dimore di ricchi mercanti interamente affrescate: inimitabile lo stile e disparati e coloratissimi i soggetti dei dipinti che illuminano il paesaggio desertico
Giorno 3: MANDAWA / BIKANER (170 km, 4 ore circa)
Prima colazione e spostamento a Bikaner che conserva inalterato il fascino altero di un borgo medioevale. Nel pomeriggio visita dello splendido forte Junagarh, massiccia fortezza le cui mura hanno un perimetro di un chilometro, fatta
erigere dal rajah Rai Singhji, sesto sovrano di Bikaner che regnò dal 1571 al 1611: all’interno la reggia a forma di labirinto e numerosi templi, padiglioni, palazzi, oltre a un museo dall’ampia collezione di gioielli, tappeti, manoscritti, giare.
Uno degli edifici più interessanti dell'intero complesso è la sala delle udienze o Karan Mahal affrescata in stile moghul. Più tardi seguito sosta al Lallgarh Palace e a un allevamento di cammelli, gli indispensabili animali del deserto.
Pernottamento in hotel.
Giorno 4: BIKANER / JAISALMER (310 km, 6 ore circa)
Dopo colazione trasferimento a Jaisalmer che, situata sulle antiche rotte delle carovane, fa rivivere in pieno la suggestiva atmosfera di un remoto avamposto del deserto: l’imponente fortezza, il sapore della storia, l’incantevole atmosfera medioevale, fanno della cittadina un luogo davvero magico. Sistemazione in hotel.
Giorno 5: JAISALMER
Prima colazione. Visita dell’affascinante “città d’oro”, mura di arenaria gialla, viuzze intricate, templi, palazzi finemente decorati, torri, bastioni. Si inizia col Forte, all’interno del quale risiede tuttora un quarto della popolazione locale:
costruito nel 1156, è uno dei più antichi della regione del Rajasthan. Nel pomeriggio escursione a dorso di cammello nel deserto del Thar per ammirare il tramonto del sole sulle dune
Giorno 6: JAISALMER / JODHPUR (260 km, 6 ore circa)
Prima colazione. In mattinata trasferimento a Jodhpur, superba città fortificata dove si possono ammirare in tutta la loro pienezza i colori del Rajasthan: circondati da enormi bastioni, gli impressionanti edifici di Jodhpur sono in ammaliante contrasto con l’oro del vicino deserto del Thar. Dopo la sistemazione in hotel, visita del dominante Mehrangarh Fort con i suoi molteplici palazzi dagli interni sfarzosi che si erge maestoso contro il deserto: magnifica la vista sulla distesa di tetti blu caratteristici della città. Al termine visita del memoriale in marmo di Jaswant Thada e del magnifico palazzo Umaid Bhawan.
Giorno 7: JODHPUR / RANAKPUR / UDAIPUR (295 km, 6 ore circa)
Prima colazione. Sosta a Ranakpur, gioiello dell’arte jainista, uno dei 5 templi più sacri dell’India. Proseguimento per Udaipur, la “Venezia dell’Est”, cittadina deliziosa nota per i suoi laghi e per gli incantevoli angoli di interesse storico.
Nel pomeriggio piacevole giro in barca a motore sulle calme acque del lago Pichola dal quale si può ammirare la maestosità della città e la bellezza del Jag Mandir, incantevole palazzo al centro dello specchio d’acqua. Pernottamento
in hotel.
Giorno 8: UDAIPUR / JAIPUR (330 km, 7 ore circa)
Prima colazione. Palazzi da favola, vicoli quieti, fortezze arroccate che ricordano antiche battaglie, laghi, mosaici, atmosfera romantica: questa la bella Udaipur. La visita ha inizio dopo la prima colazione con il Palazzo di Città edificato sul lago Pichola nel 1725, un trionfo di marmo, granito, filigrane, mosaici, vetri, finestre decorate, labirinti di cortili, porte ornamentali, appartamenti, sale affrescate, in un’eccezionale composizione artistica. Si visitano i musei, la sala delle
udienze pubbliche, le camere private delle signore del palazzo e il Sahelion-ki-Badi, i bei giardini con il verde punteggiato di chioschi, fontane, stagni e statue. Proseguimento per Jaipur, capitale del Rajasthan, nota come la città rosa perché le sue costruzioni, tutte in pietra arenaria rossa, le conferiscono una gamma incredibilmente varia di questa colorazione che muta nelle diverse ore del giorno. Interessante sapere che questo colore simboleggia storicamente l’accoglienza e l’ospitalità tipiche della cultura rajasthana e che fu adoperato per la prima volta per ridipingere l’intera città nel 1876 in occasione della visita del Principe di Galles, il futuro re EdoardoVII, in seguito all’ordinanza del Maharaja Ram Singh.

Giorno 9: JAIPUR / AMBER FORT / JAIPUR
Prima colazione. Escursione ad Amber, fortezza che conobbe un periodo di grande splendore in epoca moghul. Una salita in jeep (a dorso di elefante solo su esplicita richiesta e se disponibile) ed ecco nel loro inalterato splendore gli edifici racchiusi al suo interno: sale decorate, specchi, gemme, trafori e tutta l’atmosfera di un luogo dove la storia è di casa. Rientro a Jaipur e visita dell’osservatorio astronomico all’aperto Jantar Mantar, risalente al 1716 e tuttora funzionante, del City Palace, splendido palazzo in parte adibito a museo, del celeberrimo “Hawa Mahal” o “Palazzo dei venti‟, magnifica facciata di 5 piani intarsiata con oltre 950 finestre. Alla sera cena tipica con spettacolo all’aperto.
Giorno 10: JAIPUR / FATEHPUR SIKRI / AGRA (240 km, 5 ore circa)
Prima colazione. Una sosta a Fatehpur Sikri, capolavoro urbanistico splendido e desolato, affascinante città fantasma che ha la grandiosità di una capitale e la suggestione di un sogno. Finemente disegnata con palazzi, sale, logge, colonne, padiglioni, giardini, cortili e una scintillante moschea, fu presto abbandonata per motivi non del tutto chiari, forse per mancanza d’acqua o per mossa strategica dell’imperatore Akbar nei suoi piani di conquista territoriale. Proseguimento per Agra e sistemazione in hotel.
Giorno 11: AGRA
Prima colazione. Visita della città e dei suoi due maggiori poli di attrazione: il mitico Taj Mahal (chiuso il venerdi), il misterioso “palazzo di perla tra i giardini e i canali”, e il Forte Rosso. Candido monumento all’amore eterno, sogno di marmo fatto erigere nel 17° secolo dall’Imperatore Shah Jahan in memoria dell’amatissima sposa scomparsa perché di lei non si perdesse mai il ricordo, il Taj Mahal, perfetto da qualsiasi angolatura, candido, irreale, leggiadro e lieve nonostante l’imponenza, richiese 22 anni di lavoro, 20.000 uomini e 1000 elefanti per il trasporto dei preziosi materiali. A seguire il Forte Rosso, grandiosa cittadella dall’architettura raffinata nel cuore di Agra, sulle sponde del fiume Yamuna, trionfo di arenaria rossa che stupisce con la maestosità delle mura, i padiglioni di marmo bianco, i soffitti azzurro e oro, le anticamere dei bagni reali adorni di specchi.
Giorno 12: AGRA / JHANSI / ORCHHA / KHAJURAHO (170 km, 4 ore circa)
Prima colazione. Trasferimento a Jhansi a bordo del moderno treno Shatabdi/Gatiman Express (due ore e trenta minuti). Spostamento alla fascinosissima Orchha (26 km, 45 minuti circa) e visita della deliziosa capitale del potente regno Bundela che tutt’oggi conserva un superbo centro ricco di templi, giardini, palazzi. Proseguimento per Khajuraho, piccolo centro del Madhya Pradesh dagli innumerevoli templi patrimonio dell’UNESCO, veri e propri capolavori di statue, fregi, bassorilievi, sculture. Pernottamento in hotel.
Giorno 13: KHAJURAHO / VARANASI (in volo)
Prima colazione. Al mattino presto visita dei santuari tantrici disseminati tra i fiori nel verde, decisamente noti per le raffinate sculture erotiche ma non solo: pensare infatti che il complesso sia solo una sorta di Kamasutra scolpito nella pietra è un concetto assai limitato, è questo infatti un vero e proprio inno alla vita terrena e divina esplicitato in molteplici forme in un gioioso insieme di sacro e profano. Al termine, trasferimento in aeroporto e volo per Varanasi, centro religioso e
artistico di rilievo, antichissima città sacra a Shiva nota anche come Kashi e Benares. Particolarmente efficaci le parole di Mark Twain che la descrive come “più vecchia della storia e della tradizione stessa, persino più antica della
leggenda, e che pare due volte più vecchia di tutte queste realtà messe assieme”. Accoglienza in aeroporto all’arrivo e trasferimento in hotel. Nel tardo pomeriggio si assiste alla suggestiva cerimonia “aarti”, la preghiera collettiva che si svolge alla luce tremula dei lumini ad olio sui “ghat”, le gradinate sulle sponde delle venerate acque del fiume Gange. Rientro in hotel, pernottamento in hotel.
Giorno 14: VARANASI / DELHI (in volo)
Prima colazione. Al chiarore dell’alba, nell’aria rarefatta, si scivola in barca lentamente sul sacro Gange. Sullo sfondo, in un’atmosfera d’altri tempi, la città che si risveglia piano al suono dei flauti del tempio di Shiva, e poi sacerdoti, mendicanti, donne, bambini, santoni, pellegrini, fedeli in cerca di purificazione. Dopo il sorgere del sole l’intensa esperienza di una passeggiata tra vacche sacre e botteghe, santuari e vicoli affollati, una full immersion nell’atmosfera coinvolgente della cittadina. Al termine, trasferimento in aeroporto e volo per Delhi, accoglienza all’arrivo e sistemazione in hotel.
Giorno 15: PARTENZA DA DELHI
Prima colazione. Trasferimento in aeroporto in tempo utile per il volo di rientro in Italia.

What are the rights of the Personal Data Owner?

Travel Portal will notify the owner within fifteen business days, counted from the date the request for access, rectification, cancellation, or objection is received, of the determination made. If the request is granted, it will be implemented within fifteen business days following the date on which the response is communicated. In the case of requests for access to Personal Data, delivery will proceed upon the owner’s identity verification or that of their legal representative, as appropriate. The aforementioned deadlines may be extended once, provided that the circumstances justify it.
The obligation to provide access to the information will be considered fulfilled when the Personal Data is made available to the owner or through the issuance of simple copies, electronic documents, or any other means provided by Travel Portal.
If the owner requests access to data from a person they presume is the responsible party and this turns out not to be the case, it will be sufficient to inform the owner of this through any printed (letter of non-acceptance) or electronic (email, optical media, etc.) means, in order to consider the request fulfilled.
Travel Portal may deny access to Personal Data, or the rectification, cancellation, or objection to the processing of such data in the following cases:
1. When the requester is not the owner of the Personal Data, and the legal representative is not duly accredited.
2. When the Personal Data of the requester is not in our database.
3. When the rights of a third party are affected.
4. When there is a legal impediment, or the resolution of a competent authority restricts access to the Personal Data or does not allow rectification, cancellation, or objection.
5. When rectification, cancellation, or objection has already been carried out.
The denial mentioned above may be partial. In such cases, Travel Portal will perform the required access, rectification, cancellation, or objection.
In all the above cases, Travel Portal must inform the reason for its decision and communicate it to the owner or, if applicable, to the legal representative within the deadlines set for that purpose, through the same means by which the request was made, and provide any pertinent evidence.
Travel Portal is not obliged to cancel Personal Data when:
1. It refers to parts of a private, social, or administrative contract and is necessary for its development and fulfillment.
2. It must be processed in compliance with a legal obligation.
3. It hinders judicial or administrative actions related to tax obligations, the investigation and prosecution of crimes, or the enforcement of administrative sanctions.
4. It is necessary to protect the legally protected interests of the owner.
5. It is necessary to perform an action in the public interest.

If the cancellation is appropriate, Travel Portal will establish a blocking period for the sole purpose of determining possible responsibilities related to its processing, until the legal or contractual prescription period, and notify the owner or their legal representative of this in the response to the cancellation request issued within twenty business days. After the blocking period, the corresponding deletion will be carried out.
The blocking period will last until the corresponding legal or contractual prescription period.
